First Floor Capital is an independent, employee-owned alternative credit firm founded in 2022 in Stockholm. With our investment expertise and years of credit experience, we strive to generate attractive returns for our investors while minimizing risk through our disciplined credit selection process.

We specialize in niche market segments in both public and private credit, with a focus on leveraged loans and high-yield bond investments. Our size, agility and specialized expertise allow us to achieve differentiated investment outcomes for our clients, particularly in complex situations or in private markets that may be difficult for investors to access directly.

We manage assets on behalf of family offices and institutional clients via fund structures and customized separately managed accounts.

First Floor Capital is seeking its first employee who, together with the founders, will be involved in establishing and shaping the company's investment analysis framework.

Your Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our team at First Floor Capital. As an Investment Analyst, you will play a critical role in conducting in-depth financial analysis, assessing investment opportunities, and supporting the investment decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for the private credit industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including financial modeling and valuation, to evaluate investment opportunities in the alternative credit space.
•  Perform due diligence on potential investment targets, including reviewing financial statements, conducting industry research, and assessing market trends.
• Prepare detailed investment memos and investment committee materials, summarizing key findings and making recommendations based on thorough analysis.
• Collaborate with the investment team to identify, evaluate, and monitor potential investment opportunities, including high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, mezzanine financing, and special situations.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of existing investments, providing regular reports to management and recommending strategies for maximizing returns.
• Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting the private credit sector, and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations for existing and potential investors.
• Support senior investment professionals in various ad-hoc tasks, research projects, and portfolio management activities as required.

Your Background

To succeed as an Investment Analyst, we see that you have strong academic credentials, preferably in finance, economics, business, or a related field. The right candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience working in investment banking, private equity, credit analysis or a similar background.

Other requirements

• Strong understanding of financial concepts, financial modeling, and valuation techniques.
• Solid knowledge of the credit industry, including high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, mezzanine financing and special situations.
• Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Bloomberg, and/or other relevant platforms.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
• A high level of integrity and ethical standards.
