Do you want to play a key role in shaping the analytics function of a fast-growing fintech on its journey towards becoming a full-scale banking group? Do you thrive in an environment where advanced analysis meets business-critical decisions, and where your work directly contributes to the company’s growth and long-term success?
Our client is a specialized niche bank embarking on a bold and transformative growth journey, fuelled by strong institutional backing. With a clear strategic vision, the company is expanding its product portfolio and geographic footprint through a landmark acquisition — integrating valuable assets, leveraging advanced technology, and bringing on board a team of exceptional talent. Positioned at the forefront of the European credit market, the company combines a strong heritage with an innovative mindset to build a best-in-class debt finance platform. Its mission is to enhance financial health, empower individuals, and create lasting value for financial institutions, investors, and communities alike.
As an Analytics Specialist, you will play a central role in the company’s transformation journey, where you will contribute to building a modern analytical framework for credit risk and portfolio management. In this role, you will among other things:
· Develop, test, and validate IFRS 9 models (PD, LGD, EAD).
· Build cash flow and profitability forecasts for various portfolios.
· Analyze NPL performance, carry out ad-hoc analyses and provide recommendations.
· Support credit risk analyses and regulatory assessments.
· Participate in evaluations of new products, strategies, and regulatory changes.
We are looking for a candidate with several years of experience in analytical work within banking or financial services, with proven knowledge of credit risk. You have a solid understanding of IFRS 9 and are accustomed to working close to business decision-making. We see that you have:
· Relevant academic degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, or engineering.
· Experience with regulatory frameworks (CRR, EBA, IFRS 9).
· Ability to build and automate models and processes.
· Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
To thrive in this role, you are analytical, self-driven, and pragmatic, with the ability to make decisions and perform under pressure. You are solution-oriented and enjoy working in smaller teams as well as in environments characterized by change and entrepreneurship. As the company is in a strong growth phase, you should appreciate a dynamic work environment where not all structures are in place, where no two days look the same, and where you actively contribute to shaping ways of working and processes. Strong skills in SQL, experience with Python, R, or SAS, and previous exposure to portfolio transactions are highly meritorious.
