About the Company

We are now looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a pioneering Fintech bank that in just 9 years has established itself as the leading small business financing provider in the Nordic and Benelux regions. By offering flexible and customized business loans and credit cards, we create opportunities for growth and innovation within Europe's small business community. After several years of strong growth, we're looking for a strategic and operational leader who can further develop and streamline our Operations division.

The Role

As COO, you will play a key role in shaping our company and executing our overall strategy. You will work closely with the CEO and the management team to ensure that our operational processes support long-term growth. This role comes with a major mandate to lead change initiatives crucial to our continued success and to oversee operations with a holistic perspective.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the CEO's extended arm, with a primary focus on ensuring the execution of company strategies.
  • Driving and implementing change and efficiency projects throughout the organization, with a particular emphasis on creating long-term sustainable and scalable business processes.
  • Developing and leading a team of approximately 100 employees in critical functions such as Engineering, Customer Success, Legal & Compliance, and HR, with the goal of building an organization that can handle the challenges of the future.

Your Profile

To succeed in the role of COO, you need to be an experienced and strategic leader with a solid background in banking, finance, or fintech. You have a deep understanding of the entire credit process and are accustomed to leading change at the highest level. Your analytical ability and strategic mindset enable you to identify and drive operational improvements that directly affect profitability and competitiveness. You are a self-motivated and courageous decision-maker who can fundamentally change the business. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are expected to challenge existing ways of working, try new solutions, and constantly strive for improvement. You have extensive experience in similar roles and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams to win the trust of the organization and successfully lead change efforts. This role involves frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. You are approachable yet professional, with a natural ability to build strong networks and relationships.
